Posted: March 10, 2025

The men’s basketball team of Briercrest College has made history by claiming first place in the provincial championships and earning their spot at the CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship. The Clippers will travel to Montreal to compete at Vanier College from March 12 to 15, proudly representing their school on the national stage.

Their first match takes place on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 PM ET (5:30 PM SK time), where they will face off against the host team, Vanier College. This pivotal moment marks not only an exciting athletic milestone for the team but also an opportunity to showcase the spirit and values of Briercrest College to a wider audience, including prospective students, families, alumni, and supporters.

“This trip is not just about competition,” said Stephen Clements (Interim Athletics Director). “It’s an opportunity to glorify God in how we compete, carry ourselves, and engage with those we meet along the way."

To rally school spirit, Briercrest will host a watch party for students and supporters during the first game. Full details about the event will be revealed in the coming days.
